Immaculate Heart Girls’ Nyakibale has once again proved its excellence by clinching gold and silver in the National News Anchoring and Reporting category at the National Speech and Debate Championship (NSDC) 2024.
Ruth Nimanya: A Star Returns

Senior 3 student Nimanya Ruth, who led the school to victory in 2023 alongside teammates Ankunda Kailah, Ninsima Jerusha, and Arinda Travis, returned this year with a stellar performance. Competing alongside Cindy Hosana (S.5), Ampaire Trust, and Singa Anita in various categories, Ruth not only represented the students as a panelist at the event but also dazzled in her segment.

Her extensive experience with Immac TV and her impactful Christmas road safety campaign clips prepared her for the spotlight. Ruth’s exceptional presentation earned her a gold medal, a cash prize, and a plaque, cementing her status as a rising star.
Cindy Hosana: A Senior Five Silver Medalist with a Bright Future
Cindy Hosana secured the silver medal in the same category, along with other accolades. Cindy, the current leader of the Writers’ Club and former Deputy Chief Editor of the Immac Sky Limit Editorial Board (2023), credited her achievements to the mentorship and platforms that have shaped her skills. Her dedication is paving the way for a promising future.

Other Notable Performances
Meanwhile, Singa Anita and Ampaire Trust delivered commendable performances in the poetry category, showcasing the school’s versatility and talent across disciplines.
Gratitude and Acknowledgments
The students expressed heartfelt gratitude to the school administration, led by Sister Gladyce Kachope, for sponsoring their welfare and competition fees, and to their supportive patrons, Teacher Asimwe Hillary and Teacher Davis, for their training and mentorship.
“Excelsior! For God and My Country,” they declared proudly, honoring the school’s motto.
